To hire a beach hut, simply click on ‘Beach Hut Hire’ from the main menu. Choose the hut you wish to reserve, select your desired dates on the calendar, and click on Book Now. This will take you to your shopping basket. If you have a discount or gift voucher code, you can enter it here (in all caps). Update your basket or proceed to checkout if you do not have any codes. You will need to create an account with us to finalise your booking. After that, you will be directed to a secure online payment page where you can pay using Google Pay, credit card, or debit card. A confirmation of your booking will be sent to your email.

Where are your huts located?
The addresses of the huts are as follows:
They are all situated at Southcliff Promenade, Walton on the Naze, Essex CO14 8EJ.
To find them from the pier end, with the pier on your left, walk past The Beach Hut Kiosk along the promenade, continue past the brightly colored huts that look similar, around the bend, and before and past ‘May’s Boardwalk Café.’ The huts are located just beyond that point.
What should I expect when booking a beach hut with us?
If you reserve a hut a week or more in advance, you will receive an email confirmation immediately, followed by another email a week prior to your booking containing all necessary information. If you book 1-7 days in advance, you will receive one email right away with all the information you need. Please read through to the end of your booking confirmation.
How do I access the hut?
You can access the hut via a key safe located on the side of the hut. An email with the keysafe code will be sent to you one week before your booking. Don’t forget to check your junk or spam folders.
Which huts feature perspex windows?
The huts with perspex windows are Wiggles, Summer, Florence, and Sandy Feet.
What is the maximum capacity of the huts?
Each hut can accommodate up to 8 people. Alice Beach Huts reserves the right to ask you to leave if the number of guests exceeds this limit.
What months are you open?
We are open from the end of March until the end of September.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments through both debit and credit cards. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Can we stay in the huts overnight?
Unfortunately, overnight stays are not permitted.
Are your huts located on the beach or in the front row?
All our beach huts are front-row and situated along the promenade.

Please bring a tea towel for your washing up!
How accessible are the huts?
Unfortunately, the huts are not wheelchair accessible, but the promenade is friendly for wheelchairs, and a ramp leads down to the sand.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome! Southcliff beach is dog-friendly year-round. Please remember to clean up after your dog. We provide a spare bowl and poop bags but do not leave dogs unattended in or out of the hut.
Do you have gas or electricity?
The huts do not have electricity but are equipped with a one-ring gas stove and gas bottle. A spare portable gas stove can be found behind the main gas supply along with extra gas cans. Please remember not to leave the stove unattended and to turn off the gas before you leave.
Can we bring a BBQ?
BBQs are not allowed in or around the beach huts, including the promenade.
Is there running water available?
Taps can be found at the end of each row of beach huts. The taps are turned off from October until April.
Are there toilet facilities?
Public toilets are located opposite the pier.
Are there disabled toilet facilities nearby?
Disabled toilets are also available opposite the pier, accessible with a radar key. Changing places facilities can be found on the promenade; for more information, click here.
Are beach toys provided?
We provide some beach toys in each hut, but we recommend you bring or purchase your own.
Should I clean up before I leave?
The hut should be left clean and tidy, swept out before your departure. Cleaning supplies are provided for your convenience.
What if I lock myself out, lose the key, or break the keysafe?
If you lock yourself out or misplace the keys, please contact us at 07552195367 or via Facebook. Any costs incurred for damage to the door or lock, as well as the replacement keys, will be your responsibility.

Check-out Policy
Check-out time is 6pm during the summer season and 5pm during the spring/autumn season. While the huts are checked daily after 6pm, please ensure you leave the hut as you found it and vacate by the specified time. Remember to place the beach hut key back into the keysafe and scramble the code.

Terms & Conditions
This agreement is between us (“Alice Beach Huts”) and you (“the Hirer”).
The Hirer agrees to the Terms and Conditions outlined above.
Cancellation Policy
We do not provide refunds for poor weather. Cancellations require at least two weeks' notice. If you cancel more than 14 days before your booking, £20 will be deducted, and the balance will be refunded. If you cancel less than 14 days before your booking, the full value of your reservation is non-refundable. We are unable to transfer your booking to another date.
